Receipts for delinquent tax lists, 1812, 1865.

This series consists of two types of receipts for delinquent lands. The largest group of material in this series is made up of receipts dated 1812 and given by county clerks to the auditor of public accounts. The other group of receipts were given by sheriffs to court clerks. Each receipt contains the date, the amount received, the name of the person from whom the money was received, and the reason for the payment.
